Mike Hines created Chicago-based epoch floral in 2000. Armed with his own sense of style and using what he knew from his time in the interior design world, Mike quickly made his brand and style of floral design a staple amongst some of Chicago’s cultural elite and caught the attention of national and international clientele.
Through epoch, Mike has worked closely with top international brands such as Park Hyatt, Hyatt International, Bottega Veneta, St. John, Saks 5th Ave, Barneys New York, Ferragamo and Coach, to bring the finishing touch, flowers, into their stores and for their events. Mike has also worked closely with celebrity clients such as Jamie Foxx, Joan Cusack, Tom Cruise, Quincy Jones, Carol Burnett, Julia Roberts, Jennifer Hudson, and Michael Buble to offer memorable and timeless floral design to their star studded events.
In Spring 2012 Mike launched his newest venture and brand, Mike Hines Signature. A lifestyle brand centered around flowers, Mike will design installations, offer lectures and demonstrations designed to inspire a crowd, workshops to value trends in the botanical industry while inspiring a new way of thinking, and consulting to help modify the accessory of botanicals to the space for which they are created. Mike Hines Signature plans to take flowers "out of the vase."
